Description | Islamabad: December 23, 2016: Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Mr. Ulgbek Rozukulov visited Pakistan Monument on Friday. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz received the dignitary on this occasion. Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz briefed the visiting dignitary that Islamabad is the first city of Pakistan which was developed in accordance with master plan. He further informed that first time in the history, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has entrusted the responsibility of planning and development of the city to the elected representatives and capabilities are being utilized to make the city more beautiful and modern metropolis. Mayor of Islamabad / Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz informed Mr. Ulgbek Rozukulov that Pakistan monument was constructed to highlight the struggle of the people for independence and creation of Pakistan and its design depicts the culture and traditions of all the four (04) provinces including Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Federal Administrated Northern Area (FATA). Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA further informed that the people of the region have rendered countless sacrifices during the independence movement. The dignitary also visited Pakistan National Monument Museum where he was briefed about the role and services of Quaid-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and other prominent leaders in struggle of independent homeland. Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Mr. Ulgbek Rozukulov took keen interest in the briefing and asked different questions. He also appreciated the natural beauty of the city and lauded the efforts of city managers for its upkeep and development. |
