Geography and Climate
The city is located in the western foothills of the Himalayas, is surrounded by mountains – from the north it borders with the Margalla Hills range (and the national park of the same name). It has a milder climate compared to most of the country. The annual average maximum temperature is 28.9 ° C, the minimum is 14.4 ° C. The lowest temperature recorded was -4 ° C (in January) and the highest was 45 ° C (in June). The average annual humidity is 55% and the average rainfall is 1143 mm.
